  1. I sort of though of him as a ghost as Babbit quoted "His white hadns had shone in the nightlight". I sort of imagine him as a bad vampire ghost. Of course I must read on to see if he is good or bad. Still, I predict that he's bad.

  2. I think he is some sort of villain, because he is looking for a family (sounds suspicious) and, on the back, it says that a mysterious stranger induces a disaster, perhaps the one mentioned in the Prologue that would "make the world...tremble on its axis like a beetle on a pin".

  3. i think that he's mysterious because in the book it said that quote "he was remarkably tall and narrow, this stranger standing there. His long chin faded off into a thin apologetic beard, but his suit was a jaunty yellow that seemed to glow a little in the fading light." unqoute

  4. I think he is friendly, but tring to accomplish a sneaky task. I also agree with funky money, when it says that he is tall and narrow, I think of him mysterious and a little bit creepy. I know I wouln't want him knocking on my front door.

  5. It felt like the man in the yellow suit Is trying to find information to take winne away because in the book it says "this young lady tells me you've lived here a long time, so I thought you would know everyone who cOmes and goes" the sentence is creepy because the man can just grab Winnie and take her away! Have a awsomest day!!!!!!!

  6. I think the man was kind of creepy. He was just weird how he never mentioned his name and just talked. I also thought that the way the grandmother just causaly talked to him liked they knew each other. Do they no each other.

  8. He sounds kind of sly and tricky, like he's up to something.
But at the same time, I can't really say anything bad about him, because the way they described him (tall and thin, wearing a yellow suit, has a hat) reminded me of the man with the yellow hat from Curious George.

  9. The man in the yellow suit is CR-EE-PY! He reminds me of the title when Winnie says her family has lived there forever. I think he knows and is looking for the Tucks
