They don't have many friends for a few reasons. Number one, if they tell someone that they can live forever or someone finds out, then their secret would be revealed. Basicly, they want to hide their secret.
They don't have any friends because of the way they never get any older (their everlasting trait). Other families and potential friends were deeply disturbed and worried by the way that they never looked the different, day after day, year after year, and how they could almost kill themselves, but not feel a thing. An example is when Miles' wife left him. According to him, Miles' wife finally had no choice but to face the fact that there was something severely wrong with him. She came to the decision that he had "sold his soul to the devil", meaning that he had struck a bargain with the devil so that he would live forever, but the devil would own his soul.
The tuck family doesn't have friends because they made friends then as they grew older there friends changed but not the Tucks so the tuck's friends left and even Miles's wife!!! Also this book is creepy it is giving me night mares

Even if they don't tell their fiends the secret it would, most likely, cross the minds of their friends that the tucks are not growing any older.
